Some family secrets refuse to stay buried.
His father is dead.
The family estate is waiting.
And the truth buried there was never meant to be uncovered.
When Robert returns home after the death of his estranged father, he expects to settle an estate—not confront the fragments of a childhood he cannot fully remember. But hidden journals, cryptic clues, and disturbing discoveries begin to unravel everything he thought he knew about his family.
As long-buried memories surface, Robert uncovers a legacy of deception, violence, and generational darkness that reaches far beyond his father's death. Every revelation exposes another lie. Every answer leads to a more terrifying question. And someone is determined to keep the past buried—no matter the cost.
To uncover the truth, Robert must face the trauma he has spent a lifetime trying to forget. But some inheritances are measured not in wealth, but in blood. And some family legacies demand one final victim.
American Patrimony is a haunting psychological thriller that weaves family secrets, buried memories, and relentless suspense into an unforgettable story of inheritance, identity, and the devastating price of truth.

SOME STORIES ENTERTAIN US.
SOME CHANGE US FOREVER.
Born from a life lived on the move across continents—part travelogue, part memoir, and part confession—Tales from Table Five succeeds at both. Written entirely from the vantage point of a real-world writing desk, this collection delivers a work of groundbreaking realism.
With gritty, raw, and unflinching prose, Doran deconstructs the illusion of the American Dream. These remarkable stories hold a sharp mirror up to the invisible, top-down violence of a society that forces the atomized individual to fend for themselves. Here, you will find the visceral truths of everyday survivors languishing in an increasingly violent, isolated, and impoverished world with nowhere else to turn.

Having found his soulmate, Robert and Fanny move in together at the farm. They begin to settle in to married life when a traveling preacher comes to town, passing out flyers, and calling for sinners to "repent and be saved." Intrigued, Fanny drags Robert to the tent revival. There people begin speaking in tongues. The Reverend reaches into a mysterious black back on a table in front of the pulpit. And, Robert smiles at Fanny. They both realize, this ain't no ordinary revival.

His Vision
Doran is a global observer and contemporary realist whose work interrogates the cost of modern isolation. Born from a nomadic life spanning multiple continents, Doran’s writing serves as part travelogue, part memoir, and part unapologetic confession.
Eschewing safe literary tropes for gritty, hard-hitting social critique, Doran utilizes an unflinching narrative voice to expose the systemic, top-down violence of a society that has abandoned its citizens to hyper-individualism. Written entirely at the corner desk of a crowded room, Tales from Table Five is Doran's visceral mirror held up to the everyday survivors languishing in an impoverished world.
